Accessibility Statement
At Acople Digital, we believe technology only fulfills its purpose when everyone can use it. That's why accessibility isn't a layer we add at the end — it's a design and development criterion present from the first line of code on this site. This commitment applies both to our own website and to the solutions we build for our clients.
Conformance standard
This website has been developed and audited to meet level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 from the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
Our work also aligns with Costa Rica's regulatory framework on digital accessibility:
- Law No. 7600, Equal Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities (Costa Rica).
- Law No. 8661, ratifying the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
- Directive No. 051-MTSS-MICITT, on accessible website implementation in the Costa Rican public sector, and its subsequent regulations.

Fully conformant — WCAG 2.2 level AA

How we verify it
This site's conformance isn't assumed — it's measured. The most recent audit was performed on July 26, 2026 across every page of the site, using the following methodology:
- Automated analysis with axe-core (WCAG 2.1 A/AA rule engine), with zero violations detected on all pages.
- Lighthouse audit on the production build, with a 100 accessibility score on all pages.
- Manual keyboard navigation verification: skip-to-content link, logical tab order, visible focus indicator on all interactive elements, and no focus traps.
- Contrast verification using the WCAG relative-luminance formula across every text/background pair in the design system.
- Targeted verification of the six new WCAG 2.2 AA criteria: automated measurement of every interactive target's size on desktop and mobile (2.5.8); code review confirming the absence of fixed or sticky elements that could obscure focus (2.4.11); and confirmation that the site has no dragging interactions, multi-step processes, or authentication — so 2.5.7, 3.3.7, and 3.3.8 do not apply. Contact help (3.2.6) is served from shared header and footer components, in the same order on every page.
- User preferences: the site respects the operating system's reduced-motion setting (prefers-reduced-motion).
Accessibility features of this site
- Semantic structure with landmarks, hierarchical headings, and reference points for assistive technology.
- AA-level color contrast throughout the content.
- Full keyboard operation, no mouse required.
- Every interactive target measures at least 24×24 px.
- Forms with descriptive labels and clear error messages.
- Alt text on all non-text content.
- Responsive design that works from 360 px screens and supports text resizing without loss of content.
- No flashing content or decorative animations.
Continuous improvement
Accessibility is a process, not a final state. Our improvement plan includes periodic testing with screen readers (VoiceOver, NVDA) and evaluating the additional criteria introduced by future versions of WCAG, with the goal of staying conformant with the latest version of the standard.
This statement is reviewed at least once a year, or whenever the site undergoes significant changes.
